Where we last left off, our intrepid party continued down the North Road and caught up to the dark elves and their Rybalka prisoners.

Their leader, Yoflid, motioned, and two gargoyles carried two of the villager inhabitants’ eastwards into the Spears of Arnut mountain range and to a place called Adrik’s Folly.

The battle engaged, and the party soon realized they were surrounded by drow.  All the cookies, abandoned, held the backline and fell as he replayed the tragedy of the legend of Bora mère.  The group realized there were too many enemies; the Horn of the Centaur was blown as the Staff of Brownbark was planted, which grew into a large tree.

Drow poison, spider fangs, and party steel and sinew met on the battlefield.  As things were looking dire, the cavalry arrived as centaur pikes and Brownbarks limb impaled the drow’s backline.  The tides of the battle turned back to the party as the drow’s morale was broken, with Ary mercilessly cutting Yoflid down from behind as he/she attempted to flee.

Brownbark pleased with the defeat of the dark ears, returned back to his forest.

Looting the battlefield and not finding the Moonshard, the party questioned the centaurs and if they heard of Adrik’s Folly.  Overhearing them, the villagers informed the group that it was an abandoned castle and haunted.  As the group was going to have the centaurs escort the Rybalka villager back to their home, they looked worse for wear at the hands of the drow and being forced to march over days.   They mentioned there was an abandoned chapel just to the east and before Adrik’s Folly.  Deciding that would be a good place for a long rest, they headed into the Spears of Arnut’s mountain range.

Seeing the small chapel, a shroud of mist began to seep up and cover the ground, turning the area into a wall of gray fog that silently enveloped the party in every direction.

A lightning bolt flashed in the sky and you thought you saw a figure in a tree’s branches in the distance, but upon another strike, the figure, if there was one, was gone.

Approaching the chapel, the building was free of the obscuring fog.  From the exterior, it looked abandoned.  However, you saw some signs of recent habitation.  The front porch was clean of any leaves or debris.

Inside, you saw the remains of a small cooking fire, and the place was tidy.  The building consisted of a main hall for services and a chapel altar to the rear of the church.

The Rybalka villagers begin to claim some of the long benches to sleep, as the party begins preparations for a long rest.
