Where we last left off, the bitter smell of burnt hay still hung heavy in the air, a grim reminder of the previous night’s chaos of the stable being set ablaze.  Wynter and Ary, their elven eyes narrowed, scanned the treeline from their rooftop vantage point.

Scomitch continued to use his magic to ensure the trench around Galekin's estate remained stable and didn’t cause the dwelling’s foundation walls to crumble.

Nick Beardless, his trusty greatsword Waythe, resting on his shoulder, complained endlessly that there weren’t any giants to fight.  The grey dwarf paced the length of the trench at the front of the dwelling.  The ditch, hastily dug with magic, felt more like “something” than an adequate defense against the drow.

Inside Galekin Estates, the atmosphere was a tense mix of fear at seeing the hot pokers cooking in the fire used as a last resort to stop bleeding from a grievous wound.  The villagers huddled together and whispered anxieties while eyeing the few party members and the only thing between them and enslavement from the drow.  All the cookies moved among them, offering words of encouragement and bardic inspiration in song form.

As day 2 of the dark elf siege began, all the party could do was wait for the return of their manager, Colonel Amberaxe, riding a large boar, Daisy, to return from Rybalka with relief assistance.
