Episode 25 - Deeper into Krelgar Keep

Where we last left off, the party had arrived at Krelgar Keep, where a potential entrance to the Underdark lay to reach and restore the Moonshard crystal with the Vidrefact to restore the sun, Scomatch, and banish the ever-present twilight.

Exploring its crumbling battlements, they were met with the spectral figures of four ghostly guards.  After a desperate battle and some good saving throws, the heroes vanquished the tormented spirits.

The group descended the spiral staircase that wound down into the keep. The air grew heavy, damp, and thick with the stench of decay. The staircase opened into a large storage room.

Exploring, a pack of ghouls swarmed them, led by two larger ghasts.  The ensuing battle was brutal, but the party survived.  Among the debris, they discovered several barrels of well-preserved elven brew decorated by an elven skull.

Nearby, they found shattered crates, their remnants scattered across the floor, but others filled with preserved foodstuffs grown within the Underdark.

Gathering rations that remained unspoiled by the undead, the party continued their descent deeper into the depths of Krelgar Keep.
